The total volume of the warehouse is about 400m3 but with an effective space of about 200m3. There are two boxes, each of about 3 x 6 x 12 metres. However, one of those boxes is divided into two compartments of 72m3 and 144m3, these are for blast (up to - 80oC) and freezer (-10 to -30oC) respectively. The second box measuring about 200m3 is to be used as a fridge and to accommodate all the products that are to be stored between 2 to 8oC. However, all can be regulated to work between 2 and 8oC threshold. In terms of capacity, it is calculated that the warehouse can accommodate between 40 to 50 million doses of vaccines. The warehouse is located within a safe, secure and easily accessible area in Abuja FCT.
