"We can eat fresh fruit and vegetables" said a herdman. After installment and a simple operation training, the first 3 herdsman families began to use electricity.
"Now, we can warm up the baby goats after their birth in winter. It is great to see that more baby goats can survive in winter." said one herdman. Enactus team made a lot of ajustment on the wind and solar power generation system in order to have this system to work efficently in the windy and high temperature difference environment. After 2 months trail, all 3 families' power system work very well. The families can fix simple and common problems and further help the project team reduce maintennance cost.
Not only the herdsman's life was greatly improved by access to electricity, but also they can use electrical appliances to improve their work efficency and productivity. Now, they can use water pump and grass grinder. It was estimated that each family can raise more goats with access to electricity.
In the coming summer, additional 13 families will be our target. We hope to bring green power to more herdsman in the grassland.
