Project Report | Jun 28, 2021
June update and important news

By Amantina Lavalle | Project Leader / Lider del proyecto

[Spanish below]

Dear friends,

We hope you are doing well during these summer months.

Due to the slow online fundraising response, we will unfortunately be closing this project on GlobalGiving come July, but we are happy to share that we’ve partnered up with an organization called Cuenca los Ojos, A.C., to keep strengthening grasslands conservation activities in 2021 and beyond in the field. Check them out and see all of their inspiring initiatives, addressing rivers and wetlands restoration, soil erosion, and carbon sequestration.

Rest assured that thanks to your steady support these past years, the grasslands that are home to the Mexican prairie dog, the golden eagle, and the American bison have benefitted from conservation activities and will now continue to receive support from our new in-field partner.

Although this is our last report and the project is closing on GlobalGiving, we encourage you to continue your support by following Cuenca los Ojos and to reach out to them directly if you are interested in donating further to conserve the beautiful and essential Mexican grasslands.

This project would not have been able to boost grassland conservation activities in Mexico without your trust and support these past years. Once again, we warmly thank you!

Estimados amigos,
