By Francisco Ehrenberg | Special Projects and Innovation Officer
Dear friends,
Last November, with your support and in collaboration with partners from the private sector and the Mexican government, we created the second bison conservation herd in the country. Consisting of 19 individuals relocated to a private reserve in the state of Coahuila from our own conservation ranch in the state of Chihuahua, the new herd represents a significant step towards the conservation of bison and native grasslands across northern Mexico.
In the coming months, we will work with several academic partners to complete the genetic characterization of our original herd. This new information will allow us to make better management decisions for the benefit of the species.
Please consider renewing your support for this project, every one of your donations is critical to our conservation efforts.
Sincerely,
Francisco Ehrenberg
