The Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation will establish a Graphic Design Lab in Lahore to train over 100 deaf youth in professional digital design skills. Led by one deaf and one hearing instructor, the 6-month program includes hands-on training and internships that empower participants to gain financial independence and meaningful inclusion in the digital economy.
In Pakistan, deaf individuals have limited access to educational and professional opportunities. They lack platforms to acquire modern digital skills that can make them self-reliant. This gap keeps them economically vulnerable and prevents them from showcasing their full societal potential.
The project will address unemployment among deaf and special needs individuals by providing practical vocational training in graphic design and social media management. Participants will first complete a 3-month basic course, then a 6-month advanced course, both offered free of cost. Through inclusive instruction and hands-on experience, trainees will gain marketable digital skills and develop professional portfolios to access freelancing or job opportunities.
