CHICAGO GLOBALGIRL MEDIA UPDATE AND REPORT
Since our summer training and World Summit, we have been very busy at our Chicago GlobalGirl news Bureau,
workign on our webisode series and other projects.
To date, we have produced four episodes for our webisode series: BRIDGES TO A BETTER CHICAGO:
1. Nowhere to Somewhere, Three Womens' Stories
2. Blackstone Bicycle Works
3.Steam Studio
4. My Voice Is Important, Hive Event
We also have become a memebr of the Chicago HIVE Network, which has enabled us to expand our work and collaborate with other Chicago-based youth media organizations.
We also produced additional videos on:
Interview with Gloria Steinem, focused on the question: Can Women Have It All
Spoken Word Videos: I AM A LEADER, CAN WOMEN HAVE IT ALL
Chicago Women's Power Lunch, where we interviewed Nikolas Kristoff and Sheryl WuDunn
For future funding we are working on applications to:
MacArthur Foundation, McCormick Foundation, Driehaus, and After School Matters.
The girls are meeting once a week at our fabulous donated office facility at AFTER SCHOOL MATTERS
and continue to show us why every girl's voice matters, inspiring us to help them realize their dreams as journalists, artists, poets, musicians, editors, cinematographers, dancers, dreamers and more. Thanks for your support!
