Since 2022, Global Care Force has deployed volunteer medical teams to communities across Ukraine, providing free, compassionate healthcare to people whose access to medical services has been disrupted by the ongoing war. Many of the communities we serve are in de-occupied and frontline-adjacent areas where healthcare resources remain limited and residents face significant physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
Our teams work alongside Ukrainian medical professionals and local partners to provide medical consultations, basic health assessments, triage, mental health support, and medications purchased locally and distributed at no cost to patients. By returning to many communities every one to three months, we help provide continuity of care and build trusted relationships with patients who might otherwise struggle to access essential health services.
Our work extends beyond immediate medical needs. Through collaboration with Ukrainian healthcare professionals, we support local capacity-building initiatives, including training to help nurses recognize and address secondary trauma and burnout. This approach strengthens local healthcare providers while helping communities navigate the long-term effects of war.
Every deployment is made possible by the generosity of our donors, the dedication of volunteer healthcare professionals, and the commitment of our Ukrainian colleagues. Together, we are bringing essential care to vulnerable populations, restoring dignity and hope, and helping ensure that people living in war-affected communities are not forgotten.
As the war continues, the need for accessible healthcare remains urgent. Continued support allows Global Care Force to deploy medical teams, provide free medications and supplies, and sustain trusted relationships with communities that depend on our services.
