This project will build a 300-capacity Tech Training Hub in Mararaba, Karu, Nasarawa State, to provide free and subsidized digital skills, entrepreneurship training, leadership development, and a dedicated Female Digital Inclusion Lab for underserved youth and women. This GivingTuesday2025 project will equip 5,000 learners yearly with in-demand tech skills and open pathways to jobs, remote work, and innovation.
Across Mararaba, Karu LGA, and neighboring Abuja-border communities, thousands of young people lack access to digital skills, reliable learning centers, or affordable training. Unemployment remains high, especially among young women, who face cultural, economic, and technological barriers. Challenges include: Limited access to digital tools and laptops Financial barriers to quality tech training Inadequate internet, power supply, and safe study spaces
This project will construct and equip a modern 300-seat Tech Training Hub that will serve as a central center for digital empowerment. Core Facilities 3 digital training halls (300 total seats) Female Digital Inclusion Lab for women in tech Innovation & co-working center Startup incubator corner Multimedia and content creation studio Solar + inverter system for stable power High-speed internet Youth counseling & leadership rooms The hub will be empowering at least 5,000 learners annually.
This project will: Train 25,000+ youth and women in 5 years Increase employability and household income in Mararaba Create pathways for remote work and global freelance jobs Support at least 200 youth-led startups Reduce gender gaps through the Female Digital Inclusion Lab Foster a new generation of leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers Reduce poverty and build a more resilient community This project will ignite hope for thousands who have been excluded from the digital economy.
