As 2019 comes to a close, join RAM in our end of the year campaign, which launches on #GivingTuesday, December 3, and runs through the end of the year as part of the global holiday giving season. This year, Remote Area Medical will be counting on your support. Our goal is to raise $90,000 with a theme of #healthyholidays in order to continue to provide quality care to those in need. Lack of providers and facilities is a major issue for many remote and rural communities across the United States. The National Rural Health Association states that 25% of Americans live in rural areas, while only 10% of physicians work in rural areas. RAM only goes to communities in which it has been invited. RAM is invited to a community by a Community Host Group. Due to lack of funding, RAM cannot go to each community that requests it's services.
This project will put us closer to being able to go to every community that requests our services, further helping those in need of healthcare services.
This project could potentially fund more clinics, help us maintain equipment as well as purchase new equipment, and overall provide more healthcare services to those in our communities all over the country and internationally who need healthcare services.
