This project supports 55 orphaned and vulnerable children in Nepal with nutritious meals, clothing, learning materials, basic healthcare, and regular welfare follow-up. It helps children remain safe, healthy, and engaged in education while reducing financial pressure on low-income caregivers. Children are selected through documented vulnerability assessments, and all support funded through GlobalGiving is provided without discrimination.
Orphaned and vulnerable children in Nepal often lack nutritious food, healthcare, clothing, learning materials, and consistent educational support. Many live with widowed mothers, relatives, or low-income caregivers who struggle to meet their daily needs. Without regular assistance and welfare monitoring, these children face a higher risk of school dropout, child labor, neglect, exploitation, and poor health.
This project will support 55 orphaned and vulnerable children with nutritious meals, clothing, learning materials, basic healthcare, school-related assistance, and regular welfare follow-up. Each child will be selected through a documented needs assessment. The project will also monitor their educational progress and work with caregivers to ensure that the support reaches the children effectively.
Consistent welfare and education support will help children remain healthy, protected, and actively engaged in learning. It will reduce financial pressure on widowed mothers and low-income caregivers and lower the risk of school dropout and child labor. Over time, the project will give children a stronger foundation to complete their education, develop confidence and essential life skills, and move toward safe and independent futures.
