Every hour matters for an abandoned baby in Kenya. For over 32 years, New Life Home Trust has rescued abandoned and extremely vulnerable babies, 2,796 since inception, with 165 in our care today. Our nurses begin treatment at the rescue site, and our 4 homes in Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru and Nyeri provide round-the-clock medical care, nutrition and love until each child joins a safe, permanent family.
New Life Home Trust responds to calls for babies abandoned in hospitals, dumpsters and other dangerous places. Every hour matters. These babies often arrive at times with no name, no medical history and no traceable family. Many are cold, sick or premature needing Neonatal intensive care or surgery. Some have mild to severe special needs conditions and require 24/7 nursing and daily therapy. With 165 babies in our care, the need for specialized medical care and nutrition never stops.
With your help, we will keep rescuing abandoned babies as 2026 comes to a close and into 2027, giving them the care they need. We will continue to assess and attend each medical need in our 4 homes, because a baby's brain grows fastest in the first months of life. Together with our volunteer Pediatric Doctors every child will be cared for until they join their forever home.
Rescue is only the first step. Our goal for every rescued baby is a safe, permanent, loving family where they are more likely to grow, build lasting relationships and become adults that will contribute to their community.
