Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, since early 2020, people across the country conducted social distancing and as a result, all activities had to stop. However, in June 2020, Vietnam had successfully controlled the virus and restrictions were lifted, which allowed philanthropic activities to be continued. In July 2020, we implemented the project.
On July 10th 2020, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) visited and delivered various glasses of milk to pediatric patients at Pediatrics Department of National Hospital of Acupuncture. This time, there are 3 young and dynamic volunteers in accompany with VSF participating in the special day: Nguyen Hanh Trang - The University of Queensland, Australia, Nguyen Ngoc Huyen - VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nguyen Thi Ngoc - Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Most of patients who are at the Pediatric Department are inpatient, and have serious disease requiring long-term treatment. In addition, there are many patients in difficult circumstances that really need both physical and mental support from benefactors. The volunteers supported VSF in delivering milk to every child. We talked, shared, and encouraged pediatric patients and their families to overcome the diseases. In this morning, we met over 130 pediatric patients, and more than 1,000 glasses of nutritious milk were delivered.
“It’s not like major hospitals such as K Hospital or Vietnam National Children's Hospital, patients at the National Hospital of Acupuncture have fewer opportunities to approach and receive support from charitable organizations and groups. Today, we are honestly delighted and thankful for the kindness of VSF”- Ms. Truong To Quyen, Chief Social Work of National Hospital of Acupuncture shared.
Everytime volunteers accompany VSF to present milk, we have more motivation to maintain meaningful activities for the community, especially for children.
Please do not forget - for only $ 10, you will provide 30 glasses of fresh milk to children with critical illnesses
