Progress Report (July – October 2025)

Project Title:70515 Giving Hope to Cancer Patients in Kenya: Lifesaving Care, Support, and Food
Organization: Six Bridges Foundation (NGO)
Reporting Period: July – October 2025

1. Summary of Progress

This marks Six Bridges Foundation’s first project with GlobalGiving. Between July and October 2025, the Foundation continued its mission to support needy families and individuals battling cancer across Kenya.

Although fundraising through GlobalGiving is still in its early stages, the Foundation has remained committed to raising awareness, strengthening partnerships, and preparing for future fundraising campaigns.

During this reporting period, our primary focus was on outreach sharing our story with potential partners, engaging local communities, and refining our project presentation to better connect with both local and international donors.

2. Activities and Progress

  • Provided basic support to cancer patients, including food, transport treatment centers and bill top-up to.
  • Conducted community outreach and awareness campaigns to enhance project visibility.
  • Participated in GlobalGiving learning opportunities to improve donor engagement strategies.
  • Developed fundraising and participation plans for upcoming campaigns, such as GivingTuesday.
  • Continued coordination with local volunteers to support families affected by cancer.

 3. Results and Impact

During this reporting period, donations were utilized to assist twenty needy cancer patients in the following ways:

4. Challenges and Lessons Learned

Despite the progress achieved, the Foundation continues to face several challenges:

  • Limited fundraising capacity and donor visibility on GlobalGiving.
  • Slow donor engagement due to the absence of an established donor base.
  • Lack of transport the Foundation currently does not own a vehicle, limiting service delivery efficiency.

These challenges have constrained the scale of intended activities, including expanded food support, medical insurance assistance, community outreach, and educational aid for children affected by cancer.

5. Plans for the Next Reporting Period

Looking ahead, Six Bridges Foundation aims to:

  • Reach more needy cancer patients
  • Strengthen digital visibility and marketing efforts to attract new donors.
  • Actively participate in GlobalGiving’s GivingTuesday and other upcoming campaigns.
  • Pursue collaborations with corporate partners and CSR programs in Kenya and abroad.
  • Continue advocacy and awareness around cancer care and patient dignity.
  • Fundraise for a project vehicle (van) to enhance mobility and service delivery.
