Every day, vulnerable cancer patients in rural Kenya and slums must choose between treatment and basic needs due to extreme poverty.Six Bridges Foundation bridges these gaps. For one patient, $60 covers annual medical insurance, $50 provides a monthly food basket for the whole family, and $25 funds monthly hospital transport.We aim to reach 50 patients every month. Cancer treatment is extremely costly, and many needy patients in Kenya cannot afford it. Vulnerable patients in rural areas and slums lack food, hygiene items, breast prosthetics, sanitary pads, wound-care supplies, and even transport to hospital. Without insurance, they cannot access government treatment, and many children leave school due to the burden of costs on their families. These hardships force patients to delay or abandon care, causing preventable suffering and deaths.
This project will provide urgent medical and material support to vulnerable cancer patients to help them to access critical treatment. We shall pay yearly medical insurance cover, supply monthly nutritious food,provide transport to hospital, give essential hygiene and comfort items and support education for children from families devastated by cancer. By bridging these gaps,we shall give the patients hope of living , cater for needs and promote their human dignity. We shall save lives.
This project will greatly reduce death and increase survival rates among vulnerable cancer patients and families in Kenya.With access to medical insurance, nutritious food, transport to hospital,more patients will access and complete treatment,they will recover without suffering, their children will stay in school. Patients will regain their human dignity and families will have hope, while early diagnosis and continued care will reduce preventable deaths.Families and communities will be stable.
