We have been working in Greece and other parts of the Balkans to solicit refugee voices. This has been happening in Northern Greece in camps around Thessaloniki with the International Rescue Committee. Reports from that work can be found here The findings suggest that immediate needs such as hygiene needs are being better met than before - with satisfaction in WASH services slowly increasing. Access to and satisfaction in safe spaces provided for women and children is also increasing, although there are large variations between camps which needs to be addressed.

In general, conditions in Greece are tense. We have had to stop some data collection due to security issues within certain camps. A short blog on these challenges is here.

We are also about to start additional projects funded by DFID with Save the Children and UNHCR as well as another project with Danish Refugee Council. These ongoing projects will be conducted by Keystone’s Ground Truth programme - which can be seen here.
