Women Empowerment

"Pathways to Empowerment" is being developed in partnership with UNFPA, Under Secretary for Gender and Sexual Diversity - belonging to the Human Rights Secretariat of the Province of Buenos Aires - Centro Amparo, Man Power and Fundación Oportunidad. Each of these strategic partners plays a differentiated role, carrying out tasks with precise objectives.

This first report corresponds to the first stage of project implementation. After the initial tasks related to dissemination and convocation, carried out by the Undersecretariat of Gender and Amparo Center, has begun the execution of training workshops on subjective and technical tools, by the Oportunidad Foundation. The 26 of June has begun the workshops meeting, to date, mediating the scheduled schedule.

The group with which we are working is made up of + -15 women. The heterogeneity of the participants, in terms of age group, formal education level attained and work experience, has been a significant plus in enriching the group process.Attendance to the workshops, in some cases is sustained and in others is more erratic and sporadic. Fundación Oportunidad is aware of these modalities to establish appropriate strategies that seek greater involvement. Fundación Oportunidad is working with two populations. As mentioned above, with women in the Workshops and Training Sessions Action (CA) with the professional team of Centro Amparo. The work with Amparo professionals has developed in a sustained and committed way. We have been able to establish a cooperative link that contributes to the good development of the CA Sessions as well as the achievement of the project objectives.

The logic of the project, dynamically integrates the work in the field, and the transmission of knowledge under the training-action modality with the professional team. Immediately after finalizing each Workshop, we conducted the Action Training Sessions, which have precise objectives.
