The busy spring and summer season at Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary is winding down -- here are some numbers that tell the story of our service through the end of September:
11,025 Miles traveled by volunteers bringing animals to the Sanctuary
9 Foxes rehabilitated and released into the wild
$45.34 Average gift from a donor in August
1 New Education Animal -- an unreleasable screech owl joined the RWS education animal family
2,000+ Volunteer hours donated by patient transporters, animal caregivers, carpenters and more
747 Animals rescued and rehabilitated so far this year -- a new record
$150 Average cost of a week's worth of produce needed for animal food
28 Major enclosures completed and currently in use at the Sanctuary
Thanks to the GlobalGiving donors who have helped to make our progress possible!
