PROJECT REPORT FOR GIVE THE GIFT OF WATER!
ROJECT NUMBER:41712
Dear Friends and Partners,
Thank you for your continued support of our GIVE THE GIFT OF WATER PROJECT, in Haiti!
Your Donations have been supported this vital work of MGDLM/DMI to advance families’
need in remote areas of Haiti. As we continue to grow, we will reach beyond our limits, make available more
programs, create real and lasting changes in the lives of those needy children, families, and desperate
communities.
We want to bring to your attention that Haiti has been in a state of almost civil war with Daily manifestations,
Road blocks, and violent clashes have led to schools and businesses closing, left millions out of work and with
limited access to food and clean drinking water.
A gallon of gasoline is about $30, making transportation impossible for any work or and supplies to get to the
capital of Haiti and other areas of Haiti creating a fragile state.
Unfortunately, MGDLM/DMI had to make the tough decision to delay the first phase of our water project due to
the current political, social, and economic instability in Haiti. The severe shortage of gas, daily protests, road
blocks, and violent clashes made it impossible to start this project in that state of insecurity.
Our staffs have been providing for those in desperate need of food and of clean drinking water in this time of
emergency. I am not sure if you have ever been hungry “to the point of not knowing where your next meal will
come from,” but it can be frightening. Parents sometimes resort to “selling a child to sugarcane workers” in
order to buy food for the others. Some parents make their children drink “saltwater soup,” and other parents
buy “mud cookies” for 2 cents so their children can eat. They drink water so that the dirt cookie will expand
and make them feel hungry.
This situation has led MGDLM/DMI to create a new project to Fight Hunger and Starvation in Haiti, see the link below:

Hunger is a terrible thing and Haiti is in a “Hunger Crisis.” The “love of God” compels us to “feed the hungry.”
Now, more than ever, we continue to plan and prepare so that we will be ready for the work to start in 2020.
We thank you for your continued support and we hope to share more progress with you in the coming new
year.
P.S. Special thanks to our Haitian Volunteer Workers. They love feeding the poor, and we have been
“empowering them” to go out and feed those who are starving.
Thank you, Pastor Lucson, Maitre Jeff, Ms. Adline, Mr. Henry, Ms. Danise, Maitre Jeff crew, and others, along
with all the local police officers and security.
Until next time, stay well, be blessed, and have a wonderful holiday season!
Cheers and Thank you!!!
