This Project will start Water programs in rural areas of Haiti, using water filters and creation of wells to provide healthy supply of water critical to thousands in the hope of preventing sickness , disease and death from drinking dirty water in 80% of rural areas of Haiti.
Natural disasters such as mudslides and earthquakes are some of the causes of more than a third of Haiti not having access to clean drinking water. As of now, about 80% of Haitians living in rural areas lacked direct access to sanitation facilities and only about 38% have access to clean drinking water, a direct cause of disease and death. Our goal is to help women, children, and small communities get access to clean drinking water that would improve their health and decrease the rate of death.
This project will provide water filters, creation of wells and training to affected communities. Communities will be train to share their new knowledge with their neighbors, training that is essential to the success of these projects.
These projects will prevent disease, death from drinking unclean water and educate communities to care for their families' health and well-being.
