PROGRESS REPORT ON GIVE THE GIFT OF EDUCATION-SPON

By Wirkom Fred | Project leader

Greetings to every one.

We are sorry for this late report.  It is because of the Southern Cameroon Anglophone Crises that was really disturbing and the internate lines were not the best and even at the moment, the Bandwith can not accept to  post pictures.

We were really heated hard by the Anglophone crises.  We really have the luck to have been given the opportunity to carry  on with the training since it is a vocation schoool, equiping chidren with skills. We ended the acadmic year with a good percentage of about 80% since some of the children were scared becaus of the crises.

Currently, we are admitting the new ophoned children especially those that have been oprhaned by the crises  because most of their fathers have been killed by the forces of law and order.

We are also carrying out Computer holiday classes and make up classes for those who were not able to attend full classes due to ghost towns which was instituted and is taking place every monday.

We are going to have more children next acadmic year which starts in September.  However Cameroon Presidential election is due on the 7th of October and we are praying that it should come and pass peacefully so as not to disrupt the school year again.

For Anglophone crises, I  wish to report that the situation is under control by both the Government and international bodies. We are hoping for peace to return so that we can continue helping this needy children.

This is a another crucial time of need for more orphaned children are being recorded who will despartely need  education.

We want to tank you immensely for the previous support which given hope to many.

May God continue to bless you abundantly.
