This project runs the only non-formal center in the slums of Manyatta- Kisumu where disadvantaged and orphaned children come for education , food and clothing.Your support will give them a future.
Poverty rate in the slums is rated at 75% .HIV/AIDS prevalence in the slums is also very high based on the fact that Kisumu is still rated as one of the Cities with high HIV/AIDS prevalence in Kenya.Orphaned children under the care of their aging grandparents are hard hit .Provision of basic education, food, clothing and health care in this center is directly benefiting the orphans and vulnerable children living within this slum.
The project is running a feeding program benefiting over 175 orphans, blankets, mosquito nets, shows and health care is and will be provided to give these children the most needed care and support they miss at home.
If the project is supported, the number of children going to the street as street children will drastically reduce, children joining child labour will reduce, child prostitution will be reduced and these children will get education
