This project will secure diapers and baby formula, hot meals, school uniforms and shoes, and trauma counseling for sexual abuse for HIV orphans living in the Winnie Mabaso Foundation orphanage South Africa. Positively Alive plans to renovate and equip 10 schools for 1,000 children and hire 50 teaching assistants for 1 year.
There are currently 21 girls living at the Winnie Mabaso Foundation orphanage. The orphanage caters to girls who have lost their parents to HIV. They ensure the overall well being of the children during there formative years up until they have completed their education. There are 1.7 million AIDS orphans in South Africa. The orphanage currently only has the capacity for 22 girls. It is therefore important that they are able to expand to increase their reach.
This project will make it possible to expand capacity and provide the much needed basic requirements to help these girls live a normal and happy life.
Saving a generation of children by providing them a future.
