Many widows in Ikere-Ekiti and its environs need food items. Most widows in Ikere-Ekiti are from poor families that are unable to feed. They face hunger with their children and this hunger has made them to be very sad, depressed and to nurture the thought of suicide. This project will distribute food items to 100 widows and spread smiles on their faces in this Christmas season. The CLEF Global Mission will then distribute food items to the first 100 widows to support them to overcome hunger.
Widows from poor families in Ikere-Ekiti finds it difficult to feed. Lack of food makes many widows to steal and expose their children to social vices such as fraud, drug and thuggery etc. Many widows and their children have been jailed as a result of stealing because of hunger. Many of them have committed suicide while others have contracted diseases through eating stale food.
This fund will help to provide food items to 100 widows from poor family. This will solve hunger problem and improve their living condition. It will also help them become responsible citizens and contribute positively to their society.
This project will address the hunger problem of poor widows and their children. We have a team that partners with the community leaders in Ikere-Ekiti, to ensure the hunger problem of poor widows is solved through the donated fund. We have a vision to increase the number from 100 widows to 200 widows in the following year. The CLEF Global Mission will publish report on how the funding is utilized.
