Term 1, 2026 School Season
The Term 1 2026 school season has officially commenced, and the Tummy2Class programme remains fully operational.
We are pleased to report that we have continued providing daily nutritious meals to 100 school going children at Salvation Army Community School, ensuring learners start their school day nourished, focused, and ready to learn.
Since the beginning of Term 1, the programme has successfully served a total of 3,500 plates of meals, reinforcing our commitment to combating child hunger, improving school attendance, and supporting better learning outcomes among vulnerable children.
The continuity of feeding at the start of the school term is intentional. It reduces absenteeism, eases the burden on households facing food insecurity, and strengthens the link between nutrition, health, and education outcomes.
As we progress through the term, monitoring of attendance, participation, and overall child wellbeing remains ongoing to ensure the programme delivers sustained and measurable impact.
We remain grateful to our partners, volunteers, and supporters whose continued trust makes this work possible.
