The 2025–2026 school year began last July, and the children have now settled into their routines and are excited to be back in school.
August is Indonesia’s Independence Month — a time the children always look forward to. It’s a moment of joy, where they come together to play traditional games and celebrate with laughter and friendship.
‘We hope this event helps the children connect with one another, build their confidence, and strengthen their teamwork,”
For XSProject, the August 17th celebration is more than just a commemoration of independence. It reminds us of the ongoing struggle, the hope, and the real changes still needed for communities that have long been marginalized.
It’s a celebration of the belief that everyone — no matter their background — deserves freedom and the opportunity to shape a better future.
We are deeply grateful to all our donors whose support made this celebration possible. May the spirit of independence continue to inspire every small step we take toward a brighter tomorrow.
Meanwhile, some of our university students have begun their fieldwork as part of their final projects before graduation. Out of 13 students currently enrolled, two will graduate this year, and four are entering their final year and will graduate next year.
At the kindergarten level, our youngest children are learning through a year-long plant care program. They plant seeds, water them, and eventually harvest the vegetables — learning how to care for living things while also growing healthy food to enjoy.
Thank you again to donors for your continuous support.
