Hearts of Hope will provide Baby "B" with medical intervention from an orthopedic surgeon, and physiotherapy sessions which will enable her to walk with ease.
Baby 'B' is a little girl who arrived at Hearts of Hope at the age of 7 months. She is a healthy bubbly little girl who has a twin brother. Her legs are bandy and her left knee is growing out to the side. It is thought that her deformity might have started in-utero being in a confined space with her brother. Her legs are at risk of not developing properly unless she gets specialised treatment from an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible.
Baby "B' needs to be seen by an orthopedic surgeon and a solution found urgently. We believe that she might need a supportive splint to keep her knee in place and at least 3 months of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
This project will give Baby 'B' a chance to walk properly and hopefully to run and play and have fun as she gets older.
