Give Baby 'B' the Gift of Walking Freely

Project Report | Jun 26, 2026
Great news! Baby 'B' is improving!

By Catherine Bean | Development Officer

In the past few months, Baby "B' has been having regular physiotherapy sessions. After x-rays on her legs and discussion with specialists, the conclusion is that she will grow out of the genu varum (bowed leg syndrome). So she will NOT need any operation!

She has had very delayed gross motor development milestones in comparison to her brother, BUT with the physio exercises, stretching and hard work, her balance and gait pattern is improving.

With this improvement in her walking, she has been able to better engage with her peers and mobilise more safely.

Continued physiotherapy sessions and appropriate footwear will greatly improve little 'Bs' walking abilities and aim to prevent any further complications.

We have therefore changed our request for funds for a splint to buying supportive and appropriate shoes for her..

Thank-you to the donors who have supported this journey so far.
