Growing up, I would love to read. My imagination would deep dive into unlimited possibilities, new lands, new ways of thinking, and characters that became friends. One could never be lonely or feel stuck in life, with books around.
Today, all over the world, things are moving digitally. Even the poorest classes have smart phones. But the children, especially rural children, usually still have the outdoors and their own imagination to play with.
We want to give children in Sindh a book that is about a child similar to them, with dreams and hopes and who realizes these possibilities. A storybook with illustrations, big text and words they can learn, enjoy and build upon. One that will enhance their vocabulary as well as set them on a trajectory of whatever their heart desires.
This project is about literacy as well as enjoyment for the deserving children. Thank you for your generosity and support. We are still in the fundraising stage of this project.
