Two weeks ago, Barogal Christian School hosted a highly successful parents' meeting, highlighting both the immense challenges and inspiring successes within the community. The meeting concluded with a practical gesture of care, as the school distributed mosquito nets to all attending parents.
A Community's Hope for Education
The enthusiasm among the parents was palpable; they are deeply invested in seeing the school thrive. Their commitment stems from a stark reality: nearly two generations in this community have not attended formal education. This educational gap has created significant challenges in skills and knowledge, hindering the development of productive citizens. The parents passionately challenged the teachers to provide learning that will truly bring about the generational change they desperately seek.
Gratitude for Teachers and Welfare
Despite the challenges ahead, the meeting was filled with appreciation for the progress already made:
Positive Results: Parents were highly appreciative of the teachers' hard work and the clear progress their children are making in their education.
Infrastructure: They were pleased to note that the school infrastructure and compound are well-maintainedand tidy.
Student Welfare: Gratitude was also expressed for the essential welfare provided to the students, including good meals and crucial healthcare whenever the children fall ill.
Looking Ahead
While the momentum is strong, there is still much work to be done. The school urgently needs support to expand classrooms and hire more teachers to accommodate the growing need.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all our friends and donors for their unwavering support. Your dedication is directly ensuring that Barogal Christian School remains a beacon of hope and a center for transformation in this community.
