In line with the theme for DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) Day 2024, "Creating Hope Through Reading," we centered our activities around fostering a love for reading among young learners. DEAR Day is a national celebration dedicated to encouraging reading as a fun and enriching activity, and we used this occasion to emphasize the importance of literacy in the lives of the children we support at Barogal Agape Christian School.
Recognizing that children are currently home for holidays, we ensured our efforts extended beyond the classroom. We provided families with reading materials and activities designed for home use, enabling children to continue their educational journey and foster a love for reading even while away from school. These resources have empowered parents to actively engage in their children's literacy development, making reading a shared and enjoyable family activity.
The "Give a Child the Start to Education for a Year" project has made a significant impact on the lives of many children at Barogal Agape Christian School. By fostering a love for reading, we are not only enhancing their educational experience but also inspiring hope and a brighter future. Thank you to all our supporters and partners for making this journey possible.
