This year, due to an unexpected boost in student growth, we had to add a new classroom at the beginning of the school year. In the previous year, we have been operating with classes from Grade 1 to Grade 3, which means that students who graduated from Grade 3 last year in december 2022 were to further their studies from somewhere else i.e grades 4 - 7.
Much as we welcome the relief this new class will have on our continuing students, adding a new class at a grade level can be a challenge; preparing the classrooms with furniture such as desks, chairs, chalkboard as well as hiring a new teacher for the Grade 4 class.
We appreciate the steps taken so far and are thankful to our donors for providing these children with resources that help them develop the emotional, social and cognitive skills needed to become lifelong learners.
