The new term has begun and the children have all reported on time.
We have continued to maintain positive relationships with parents and the community through a variety ways as the term begins. When we make our regular visits to members of the community, we encourage them to share with us what they are looking forward to seeing in this term and the years to come. Some of the ones we are not able to visit, we ensure that the information is shared with them. On a termly basis, parents are given mini-report slips which share with them some of the targets that they have expressed. As a school we celebrate not only academic targets but personal and social ones too. We have also made sure that we attend most of the functions in the community as well as meeting our local leaders on a regular basis, keeping them updated on the activities of the school. Weare grateful to our wonderful parents for their support and co-operation that has enabled the school to continue to grow at a slow but steady pace. We keep them informed regularly on the activities of the school and are happy to see that from time to time they come and visit the school and inquire about the academic progress and welfare of their children.
One parent who is very excited for the new term is Ms. Sunday. She has praised the management of Agape Christian School, for bringing a school in their village. For many years, parents in this community have struggled to send their children to school, and for the little children, it was always a struggle to walk 5km to the nearest school. And it was for this reason that many children skipped the early learning education.
She is now happy that her 3year old daughter can now go to school without getting very tired. She is happy with the teachers and can make a visit to school anytime to understand more about early learning education.
We are continuing to make good progress with the School Development Plan (SDP). We thank our partners and sponsors for opening doors for this community in terms of education. There are still many children in this community who are unable to attend school because of various challenges.
I reach out to you to sponsor these children and their teachers. Buy books for the library.
Tell you friends why it is important to sponsor children in education.
We also encourage you to sign up for a monthly recurring donation today.
