Girls' education stats

Gratitude

Thanks to YOUR support we have extended the Girls’ voices experience to girls in Uganda, Haiti, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Bonaire, and the Tohono O'odham Reservation in Tucson, AZ. There are currently approximately 100 girls participating in Girls’ Voices today.

Girls’ Voices for Change Contest

In order to gain more audience, and invite more people to watch the beautiful videos created by Girls’ Voices, we have launched The Girls’ Voices for Change Contest . The contest will award wards the winners winners with the most compelling videos a $1000 grant to address disparity in education. . Girls from eight countries are participating, and are creating media on topics ranging from discrimination, access to school, the lack of opportunity for young women, and the specific needs of refugee girls.

GreaterGood.org launched Girls’ Voices because of our ongoing commitment to ensure that more girls around the globe receive a quality education. When a girl stays in school, she has the power to transform lives, families, and communities. In the movement to bring change to education, girls’ voices are often not heard, and yet girls hold the key to unlocking the solutions to the barriers that they face. Girls’ Voices opens the discussion about girls’ education to girls themselves, personal stories to the growing body of statistics supporting girls’ education.

How to get involved with Girls' Voices
