Thanks to YOUR support we reached our initial goal and are able to send 9 girls in Guatemala to school for 1 year! These 9 girls created a thank you video that we would like to share! Please see the link below.
Next Phase
Since the initial pilot in Guatemala in August, we have now expanded Girls' Voices and to Uganda, Haiti and on the Tohono O'odham Reservation in Tucson, AZ. We are now raising funds for the 25 girls who courageously used their voice to express themselves using videography and photography and in tern we are raising funds for their education. 100% of the funds raised will go directly towards these girls education related expenses.
How to get involved with Girls' Voices
We are starting a Birthday Pledge: Donate Your Age and everyone is invited to participate. Here is how it works:
- We will match you with a girl involved in Girls' Voices who has the same birthday month as you
- Provide you with some context about her and the media project she created
- Link to a fundraising page that you can share on social media
- We will also introduce you and share this on our social media sites as well
