Project Recap
The Girls in Science and Technology Project promotes opportunities for girls from public schools to engage in science and technology, aiming to inspire and encourage future careers. Designed for students aged 12 to 18, the project offers workshops, classes, excursions, and lectures, culminating in tournaments and exhibitions of technological art. It seeks to develop creativity, technological awareness, and identify talents, supporting them in preparation for the job market.
We emphasize that, although the project is primarily aimed at girls, boys also participate in the activities, though in smaller numbers. We believe this interaction is essential for both to understand the dynamics of the job market, where everyone, regardless of gender, is interconnected and collaborates in some way.
Recent ActivitiesVisit to FEBRACE – USP
The project's participants visited FEBRACE (Brazilian Science and Engineering Fair), one of the largest student science events in Brazil. Held annually at the University of São Paulo (USP), the fair brings together research and innovation projects developed by elementary, high school, and technical students from across the country.
FEBRACE aims to promote a scientific culture and investigative thinking among young people, encouraging research in various fields such as exact sciences, biological sciences, humanities, and engineering. The best projects presented at the fair have the opportunity to win awards, scholarships, and even represent Brazil at international science fairs, such as the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States.
In addition to the exhibition of projects, FEBRACE also offers lectures, workshops, and interactions with researchers and professionals from different fields.
Internal Activities
The participants continued their learning in the field of robotics, engaging in the following activities:
Robot Construction and Assembly
Sensors and Automation
Teamwork and Creativity
