Remembering the project:
The Girls in Science and Technology Project promotes opportunities for girls in public schools to get involved in science and technology, with the aim of inspiring and stimulating vocations. Aimed at students aged 12 to 18, it offers workshops, classes, excursions and lectures, culminating in tournaments and technological art exhibitions. It seeks to develop creativity, technological perception and identify talents to support them by preparing them for the job market.
In recent months, project participants have carried out various activities, these are some of them:
The girls participated in one of the most influential events in the youth technology sector, Advanced Technology School Week, organized annually by the Alpha Lumen Institute. This event brings together students from public and private schools across Brazil, promoting the exchange of knowledge and encouraging the development of skills in science and technology.
The city of São José dos Campos, recognized for its innovation and technology environment, welcomed more than 500 students from all regions of the country. This meeting reinforces the city's role as a reference hub in the technological and educational field, offering an enriching experience for young talents interested in exploring and creating technological solutions.
During the event, approximately 70 projects were presented at the Advanced School of Technology Week Show. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their ideas and projects, addressing real challenges and proposing innovative solutions for areas such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, robotics and software development.
Our objective with this event goes beyond sharing technical knowledge. We want to encourage deep reflections, awaken new feelings and provoke different perspectives focused on innovative solutions, full of hope and optimism.
Advanced Technology School Week is, therefore, an environment conducive to collaborative learning and personal development, where students, especially girls, become transformative agents in their communities and protagonists of the country's technological future. The active participation of girls in this project is especially relevant, as it contributes to inclusion and diversity in the technological field, inspiring other young women and reinforcing the importance of gender equality in areas traditionally dominated by men.
