The Girls Education Trust Fund is a project which aims to help 30 young girls access basic education and also assist in the provision of materials for young girls in schools across communities in Nigeria. The project will support the needs of young girls to access 12 years of basic education in Nigeria which will impact the number of out of schoolgirls in Nigeria.
With the Girls’ Education Trust Fund, young girls will have their tuition paid, will have access to books, and other necessary materials for schooling. The project which was launched 3 months ago has received 45 USD from 3 donors on Global giving and the sum of 20,000 naira donation to the organization. The total amount of donation received so far sums about 100USD out of the requested 6,646 USD.
However, with the limited resources available, additional funding is required for the full implementation of the project. Albeit, mapping activities for the proper selection of girls are ongoing in communities and schools. The purpose of this activity is to ensure that the most vulnerable girls who need these monies and assistant get to receive them.
Stating this, YouthHubAfrica appreciates and commends the contributions of donors towards this project as we work together to ensure the future of girls are safe and secured and also building a strong skilled force.
