‘I am very happy because now I will be able to reach school on time with a bicycle and won’t miss any class.’
Anushka is a student and resides in Pachwad village with her parents. Since the beginning, she has had an immense interest in studies. Her school was about 4 km from her house. She had to walk daily to reach the school. Many times she would reach late and miss the class, which affected her studies and grades. She needed a bicycle to go to school but due to poor financial condition, her parents couldn’t afford to buy it. One day, the Mann Deshi staff visited her school to conduct a training program. They also informed the students about the cycle distribution event organized by Mann Deshi. Considering her grades in the class and her family background, Anushka's teacher recommended her name to the Mann Deshi team for the bicycle. Anushka received the cycle from Mann Deshi Foundation. “I am very happy because now I will be able to reach school on time with a bicycle and won’t miss any class,” says Anushka, who feels grateful towards Mann Deshi Foundation.
