Dear Donors,
Greetings from BREADS Bangalore!
We are happy to inform you that the support BREADS received through Global Giving has been used for educating for more than 144 poor girl children from North Karnataka in India. During this reporting period we got another USD 1195.29 (INR 77819) for our project which helped us to support the girls for their education, food, clothes and education materials. Among the 144 children 12 children who were rescued from child labour situation are undergoing remedial education in our rehabilitation centres. All other children are mainstreamed in formal schools and continuing their studies
All the children are studying well and shows good performance in schools. The children are regularly followed up by Don Bosco/BREADS staff in order to ensure their continuity in schools and improved education standard. Once in a month we organize meetings for the children in their localities in order to impart life skill training, personality development and group building sessions. The children will also share their experiences during these monthly get together meetings.
In the month of December and January we had organized Christmas and New year Celebration for the children with colorful events and programmes. The children were happy and enjoyed the occasion which also gave them opportunity to exhibit their talents and creativity.
The support received from you through Global Giving platform was really a grace for the less privileged girl children to regain their right to education and childhood. Many of them are happily saying that it restored their happiness otherwise lose their life in child labour situations and grow without any education. Every one shared that they have hope in life and have an aim to excel in their life.
The children and BREADS herald our happiness and gratitude for the great and generous support from all of you through GlobalGiving platform which help the poor girl children to regain their rights such as right to education and childhood.
A Big Thank you from all of us here!!
