Women in Cambodia face difficult gendered barriers success in many aspects of their life. Adult literacy rates are 7.3% lower for women than men in Cambodia. Gender based violence is prevalent, with approximately 1 in 5 women aged who have ever been in a relationship experiencing physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner at least once in their lifetime.
