Dear Friends of Save The Children India
Save The Children India initiated an early intervention center (DHVANI) provides access to technology and services to hearing impaired children particularly from marginalized communities.
The aim of the intervention is to provide valuable treatment at the earliest, thus reducing the trauma associated with hearing impairment. Since its inception the program has focused on providing critical services of testing, diagnostics, therapeutic intervention delivered by a team of professionals with the aim of reducing trauma associated with hearing impairment.
During Covid 19 Pandemic, to avoid any kind of regression in speech and language skills we have continued to stay in touch with the beneficiaries over tele intervention sessions. The sessions are being done virtually and the process includes Preparatory sessions i.e Lesson planning and discussion with parents (2 days prior the scheduled session) to explain to them the planned goals and arrange the household material required to perform the activity to keep the child engaged.
We need your support more than ever during this pandemic and we lookforward to having you with us in this difficult time.
