Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your interest in the Gift A Solar Lantern: Empower Slum Women & Girls project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned distribution of solar lanterns has not yet begun.
Across many urban slums in Nigeria, women and girls continue to live without reliable electricity. This affects their ability to study, work, and move safely after dark.
Many families depend on kerosene lamps, which are not only costly but also pose risks such as fire hazards and harmful smoke. Girls are often unable to study at night, while women face safety concerns when carrying out evening activities.
This project is designed to provide 10,000 solar lanterns to households, giving families access to safe and clean lighting. The initiative will also include guidance on proper use and maintenance to support long-term use.
With the right support, girls can study at night, women can carry out daily activities more safely, and families can reduce reliance on unsafe lighting sources.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and reach communities that need safe lighting solutions.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
