Dear Patrons,
We thank you for your continued support for supporting our campaign “Gift Life to 1000 water starved families in India”.
Based on the early need assessment done in Karlamunda block, 6 villages of 2 Gram Panchayat (Joradobra and Borpadar) have been identified by the project team to implement the planned activities. These villages do not have canal irrigation facilities and hence have been given priority for the planned activities. Initial grounding meeting took place with the VDC (Village Development Committee) members to make them understood about the project purpose. Several meetings been organized to finalise the possible structures and identified the place to construct the structures in each of the village.
Processes such as discussion with community, getting their consent, identification of sites for construction of water harvesting structures, assessing technical feasibility have been completed.
The work on the construction will be initiated after the paddy harvesting season, by January end, to ensure maximum availability and participation of the community.
With Gratitude,
Indo-Global Social Service Society
