Executive Summary
The "Save Innocent Birds Trapped in Deadly Nets" project in Bangladesh, initiated by the Green Fund Initiative in March 2024, has continued its vital work in bird rescue and community education. Between December 2024 and March 2025, the project expanded its efforts despite ongoing financial and logistical challenges. During this period, we successfully conducted 12 rescue operations, saving 41 birds, and deepened our engagement with local communities to promote sustainable and bird-friendly practices. Our focus remains on advocating for safer fishing practices, increasing public awareness, and strengthening our rescue and rehabilitation capabilities.

The Green Fund Initiative has made meaningful progress in rescuing trapped birds and educating local communities about sustainable practices. Despite ongoing financial and logistical hurdles, the project remains committed to its mission. Moving forward, we will prioritize securing funds for a dedicated treatment center and amplifying our community outreach efforts to further reduce bird entanglement incidents in Bangladesh.
