Yes, it is Cindy Brand’s birthday! The La Reserva Forest Foundation would love to give Cindy the gift of creating the green corridor project on her farm in San Isidro del General. This corridor project is vital to connecting two forests that pass along the two rivers that border Cindy’s property. She has expressed concern about whether she should allow the administrator, Doña Christina, to add even more cattle to the already heavily grazed farm or wait for the biological corridor project to come into fruition. Like most farmers in Costa Rica there is always the necessity of receiving an income from the land to support it’s activities. Thank you to all of you who have donated to this project so far. Send the link to Cindy’s project http://www.globalgiving.org/projects/getting-connected-at-finca-salvaje-costa-rica/ to your friends and family asking them to support this wildlife highway that will increase their mobility and provide much needed bio-diverse habitat for foraging. Next Wednesday, June 16th from 12 midnight to 11:59pm Global Giving will be matching all donation up to $1000/donor/project. Give a generous donation to the Finca Salvaje project on that day and remind your friends as well. Let’s give Cindy an unbelievable belated birthday gift next Wednesday by letting her know that the Finca Salvaje biological corridor project is funded and ready to move forward. LET’S GET PLANTING AT FINCA SALVAJE!
