The Savage Farm This is the translation of Finca Salvaje, the name of this beautiful project property in San Isidro del General, Costa Rica. The owner of the property, Cindy Brand, is anxious to restore the savageness to her farm that the project will connect up these two river forests, providing a biological corridor and an increase in habitat for the savage residents. Since posting this project last December, Joanna Becker, a local tree nursery owner has been contacted about creating the native seedling nursery that will provide the 12,000 trees needed for this project. We have advised her that when we have enough donations to look as if we will be doing the project she will be given the go ahead to start the trees for planting out in 6 months. Also, our friend Ed Bernhardt, owner of the New Dawn Center in San Isidro will be furnishing all of the living fence posts that will enclose the corridor and protect it from cattle grazing. This coming Tuesday, March 16th, global Giving will be matching all donations by 30% up to $1000 per donor. Here is our opportunity to get this project funded so that we can plant it during the rainy season. COME ON, EVERYBODY, LET’S GET PLANTING
