For the past eight years, Life Givers has been dedicated to rescuing orphaned children from labor camps and the streets, providing them with a chance to break free from the cycle of poverty through education and vocational training. Our goal is to transition 10,000 orphan children from labor into the nurturing environment of a classroom. To date, we have successfully helped 400 children find hope and a future through our programs. Last year alone, with the generous support of our donors, we were able to help an additional 31 children and youth escape the harsh realities of labor and enter our schools.
Challenges We Face:
-
Weather Conditions: The climate in Pakistan is relentless, with sweltering summers, monsoon rains in the fall, and bitterly cold winters. Many of the children we aim to help suffer in these conditions, making it challenging for them to attend our schools. Our current facilities lack heating and cooling, further exacerbating these difficulties and endangering the well-being of our students.
-
Cultural and Resource Scarcity: The scarcity of resources in our region makes it difficult to find qualified teachers willing to volunteer or donate their time. To maintain the quality of education, we must employ teachers, which strains our limited resources. This challenge is compounded by the need to support the growing number of children seeking our help.
-
Technology and Space Limitations: In Pajian Village, our teaching space is limited to a small courtyard and a single room with only five computers. This lack of technology and space significantly restricts the number of children we can serve. Thousands of children in Pajian Village wander the streets without food, employment, or opportunity, and we are working tirelessly to expand our reach.
-
Limited Resources and Locations: Due to the limited funds we receive and the small building we operate in, we can only assist a fraction of the children who need our help. Our goal is to reach as many of these vulnerable children as possible, but our current capacity is far from sufficient.
Our Ongoing Projects:
-
Free School Education: We provide free education to children who would otherwise have nowhere to go. In our safe and secure environment, they receive an education that equips them to better their lives. Many of the children who started with Life Givers eight years ago have already progressed to higher education and secured good jobs in the city.
-
Vocational Training: We offer vocational training to older youth and young adults who wish to escape labor and pursue a better life. This training provides them with the skills necessary to secure stable employment and achieve financial independence.
-
New Initiatives:
- Building a School: We are working on constructing a new school with heating and cooling to provide a comfortable learning environment year-round.
- Starting a Dairy Farm: We are launching a dairy farm to provide nutrition for the children and generate income to support our schools, pay teachers, and care for the children.
- Additional Initiatives: We are continually engaged in other projects to further our mission and reach more children in need.
Gratitude:
We are humbled by the generosity of our donors and deeply thankful for their unwavering commitment to our cause. Your support has made a profound impact, helping us bring hope and opportunity to hundreds of orphaned children. Together, we are creating positive change in the world, one child at a time.
Conclusion:
Thank you for being an integral part of Life Givers. Your continued support is essential as we strive to reach our goal of getting 10,000 orphan children out of labor and into school. We are confident that with your help, we can overcome the challenges we face and make a lasting difference in the lives of these children.
