Ayapel is a Colombian municipality in the state of Cordoba, with a territorial extension of 1,929 Km2, due to its topographic characteristics it has become a territory of environmental interest since it has been built in the middle of the Ayapel Cienaga which was declared Ramsar territory in 2018, composed of 140,000 hectares of wetlands, 360 registered species and 64 migratory species that visit it annually among other characteristics of great relevance.
