Project Report | Jan 10, 2023
Final report

By Tracey Peppler | Project Leader

Dear Friends

Wishing you all the best for the new year!

Once again, thank you for your support for our work in Alexandra, Johannesburg. It is tough work but we have an amazing team of people partnering with the most vulnerable in Alex who need support and counselling.

This is the last report that you will be receiving from this project as we are changing our strategy significantly this year, so we won't be offering support in the way explained in the project. We piloted an anger management approach with young people last year, and it has proven to be a really life-changing methodology. It was therefore decided that this year, we are exclusively tackling this challenge proactively by educating young people on positive values, such as respect, compassion and responsibility and taking many more through the anger management courseware and the accompanying engagements.

We will refer anyone who comes to us for counselling to one of our partners in Alex, who have many well-trained counsellors able to support victims of GBV.

It is exciting but change always comes with challenges, so there is a lot of work to be done.

We would love you to consider supporting our work with vulnerable children and families too on GlobalGiving.

It would also be great if you followed us on social media:

Thanks once again!
