In this time of darkness and need, send wearable solar-powered lights through the blockade to Gaza children. These lights will help children study and play safely in the long hours when the power is out. We are partnering with Little Sun to purchase solar lights with a rechargeable, replaceable battery, and with SunBox, to install whole home solar systems designed by a Gaza engineer to charge phones, laptops, run a refrigerator or TV, & turn lights on. Please hold Gaza's children in the light.
The recent bombings of Gaza sent it back into darkness and deeply traumatized 1.024 Mil children. Nights are especially scary. Power is only available for 5 hrs every 19 hours - not enough to keep food cold. Life is put on hold when the sun sets. Imagine being a student and not having light to finish your homework, or a little child without a nightlight. Many turn to kerosene lamps and candles resulting in horrific accidents. Solar lights change this.
Because the need is so great again, please help send thousands of solar-powered lights to children in Gaza. We can do this. To date, Rebuilding Alliance has sent 35,600 solar-powered lights through the blockade. As soon as we have all the Customs pre-clearances, we'll be shipping from LittleSun's warehouse in Hamburg. Our four Palestinian Non Governmental Org partners will distribute to children in greatest need. Please give Gaza's children the light they need to reclaim their lives.
Sending a solar light is an important step. As we deliver to each family, we see them and begin to understand their needs. So many are hungry - we expanded our work to deliver boxes of food and hot meals. So many homes are damaged - now, we're offering housing assistance. The most important long-term impact will be yours: please reach out to your elected officials to press them to call for an end to this blockade. Let Gaza's families get jobs in a functioning economy to get back on their feet.
